The unofficial fifth major is almost upon us, as perhaps the strongest field in golf descends upon TPC Sawgrass to try and write their name into golfing history.
Rory McIlroy's strong finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week - coupled with Jon Rahm's underwhelming Friday and Saturday - has seen the Northern Irishman overtake the Spaniard as favourite this week at THE PLAYERS Championship.
Scottie Scheffler completes the top three as joint-second favourite with Rahm, with Patrick Cantlay fourth favourite at +1600. The American has been in stellar form since last summer, but will have to improve his form at Sawgrass to contend, having missed the last three cuts.
