England face a battle to qualify for Euro 2024, which is set to be hosted in Germany, after being drawn alongside Italy in Group C.
The Three Lions, who are 7/1, to win Euro 2024 reached the final of the 2020 edition but lost to 9/1 Italy on penalties at Wembley.
Hosts Germany are the 5/1 favourites to win the competition for a fourth time with France available at 13/2 to lift the trophy.
There are seven groups containing five nations and a further three groups with six teams. The four Nations League finalists - Croatia, Netherlands, Italy and Spain - have been placed in those smaller groups to allow them space in the calendar to feature in the finals in June 2023.
In terms of qualifying for Euro 2024, the top two teams in each of the 10 sections will earn a berth at the main event with Germany automatically securing their spot as hosts.
The group stage fixtures begin on 23rd March 2023 and conclude on 21st November 2023 with the draw for the tournament taking place in December 2023.

After suffering relegation from the 2022/23 Nations League, England were placed in pot 2 for the Euro 2024 draw and have subsequently been handed a tougher task in trying to qualify for the continental showpiece.
It looks set to be a two-way fight for top spot between England and Italy in Group C with Ukraine, North Macedonia and Malta making up the rest of the section.
Italy denied England a first major piece of silverware when winning a penalty shootout at Wembley in the Euro 2020 final, while they also finished top of the Nations League group containing the two nations after taking four points off the Three Lions.
Indeed, England haven't beaten Italy in a competitive fixture since 1977 with the Azzurri losing just one friendly in the meantime.
It's not just England that are seeking some revenge, though, with Italy and North Macedonia set to lock horns once again.
North Macedonia beat Italy in a 2022 World Cup play-off in March, denying Roberto Mancini's side a place at the event in Qatar, although they subsequently went on to lose to Portugal in the play-off final.
Scotland have qualified for the last three editions of the European Championships and they are guaranteed at least a play-off spot after topping their Nations League group.
They take on Spain, Norway, Georgia and Cyprus in Group A and, having enjoyed a successful Nations League campaign, will have their sights set on a top-two berth.
The Scots had to go through the play-offs to book their place at Euro 2020, beating Israel and Serbia, and that could be a route they have to take again with some stiff competition.

Spain are 1/6 favourites to top Group A with Norway, who boast Erling Haaland in attack, priced at 13/2 to top the section while Scotland are 12/1.
Norway have only qualified for the Euros on one previous occasion, exiting at the group stage in 2000, but Haaland's firepower could see them finally end their long wait to return to the major event.
Meanwhile, Wales are set to compete with Croatia, Armenia, Turkey and Latvia for progression from Group D as they look to qualify for a third successive edition.
Wales are 7/2 to top the section with Croatia available at 10/11 and Turkey priced at 15/8.
Northern Ireland can be backed at 16/1 to top Group H after being drawn with 1/7 Denmark, 9/1 Finland, 14/1 Slovenia, 100/1 Kazakhstan and 4500/1 San Marino.
The Green and White Army made their maiden appearance at the Euros in 2016, reaching the round of 16, but failed to secure a place at Euro 2020.
The Republic of Ireland will feel they have been handed the toughest assignment after being picked out alongside the Netherlands, France, Greece and Gibraltar.
France, priced at 4/5 to top Group B, have won the European Championships on two occasions, while the Netherlands, who are 6/5 to finish at the summit, have lifted the trophy once.
The play-offs may prove to be the Republic of Ireland's best hope of returning to the Euros after failing to qualify in 2020 following back-to-back appearances in 2012 and 2016.
Elsewhere, Group E sees Poland, Czech Republic, Albania, Faroe Islands and Moldova, while Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan and Estonia are in Group F.
In Group G, it's Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Lithuania, with Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus and Andorra in Group I.
Finally, Portugal take on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Liechtenstein in Group J.
