The Lusail Stadium is the biggest stadium in Qatar and will host the final of the World Cup.
The Lusail Stadium was initially expected to be finished in 2020 but the completion date was postponed and it did not open until November 2021. It currently has a capacity of 80,000 but that is set to halve when the World Cup is over.
The stadium, which is located about 23km north of Doha in Lusail City, will host 10 matches during the tournament, including the final on 18th December.

After the World Cup it is planned to reduce the capacity of the stadium to 40,000 and it is hoped that the venue will then be able to feature affordable housing units, shops, food outlets, health clinics and even a school.

No club side currently plays at the stadium and at the end of the World Cup most of the seats will be removed because "Lusail will not need its own football stadium after 2022".
