Esports: Peacemaker suspension lifted by ESIC

After being accused of abusing the free-roam spectator bug, Brazilian coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu says his suspension has now been lifted after he provided evidence of his innocence.

Peacemaker has broken his silence on his use of the infamous free-roam spectator bug, the accusations having been made only a few days before the PGL Major Antwerp.

As a result of the accusations, the Brazilian was barred from attending the event and also suspended from ESIC events, along with fellow coaches Rafael "zakk" Fernandes and Sergey "hally" Shavaev.

Peacemaker boosted by suspension lift

In his statement, peacemaker says that ESIC has now lifted his provisional suspension, having "accepted the arguments provided" before going on to state that we should expect an official announcement from ESIC soon.

Peacemaker gave thanks to a number of people who assisted in clearing his name, including Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, Neil "NeiL_M" Murphy and Rokas "EspiranTO" Milasauskas, who were all involved in the game in which the bug occurred.

Also given credit were Jason "moses" O'Toole, Anders "Anders" Blume and Richard Lewis, who spent time and energy in helping peacemaker with his case.

The charges levied at peacemaker were some of the latest in an ongoing saga that began back in August 2020, when the first three coaches were banned for use of the spectator bug.

Later investigations revealed that there were actually several variants of the bug and that abuse of these bugs was widespread, with a further 37 coaches banned in September of 2020, and upward to another 100 further coaches awaiting punishment.
