G2 qualified for BLAST Spring Final in style, with their new youngster producing some spectacular highlights.
G2 secured their spot at BLAST Premier Spring Finals with a dominant victory over MIBR, only allowing their Brazilian rivals 11 rounds across the two maps played.
MIBR had stunned Natus Vincere and Complexity on their way to the last chance stage, but they were unable to pull off another upset, and will have to play in the Spring Showdown as a result.
Across the two maps, not a single G2 player posted a negative K-D, with Nikola "NiKo" Kovac leading the charge with 43 kills and a 1.65 rating.
The series kicked off on MIBR's pick of Ancient, but it ended up being an exhibition by G2, who stormed into a 14-1 lead after a remarkable defensive half. MIBR picked up the second-half pistol and clawed some rounds back, but they never seriously threatened and G2 quickly closed out Ancient at 16-5.

Inferno, the second map of the series, was much of the same, as G2 rushed into a 13-2 lead on their attacking half. Once again, MIBR strung a few rounds together thanks to a pistol round win, but with rifles in their hands, G2 quickly stamped their authority, winning Inferno 16-6.
G2's young prodigy Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov provided the highlight of the match, pulling off a stunning 1v4 clutch on Inferno, despite having to do so with an AWP.
Failing to convert man advantages was ultimately MIBR's undoing, as showcased by a very poor 5v4 conversation rating, showing the gulf in class between the two teams.
