Canada Copa America history

The 2024 Copa America will be Canada's first time competing in the tournament.

This edition will not be the first time North American teams participated in the Copa America. Mexico participated in every edition from 1993 to 2016 and will return for 2024. Jamaica, the United States and Costa Rica have all appeared in the tournament multiple times.

Canada qualified for the 2024 edition as a result of winning a play-in game.
