Canadian golfers on the PGA Tour in 2023

There are plenty of Canadian golfers currently lighting up the PGA Tour, and we have taken a closer look at some of the very best.

Corey Conners

Corey Conners was runner-up in the 2014 US Amateur and turned professional after his appearance at the 2015 Masters. 

As well as twice winning the Texas Open, he was third at the 2022 WGC- Dell Technologies Match Play and both of his Major top-10 finishes have come at the Masters - he was sixth in 2022 and eighth the year before.

Michael Gligic

Michael Gligic gained his place on the PGA Tour after qualifying through the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019, when he won the Panama Championship. 

His best performance on the main tour was fourth spot at the Corales Puntacana Championship in 2021 and he was also 10th in the 2022 John Deere Classic.

Adam Hadwin

Adam Hadwin turned professional in 2009 and claimed two victories on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2014 at the Chile Classic and the Chiquita Classic. 

His only PGA Tour win to date was when he won the Valspar Championship in 2017 by a one-shot margin, but he has finished as a runner-up on four other occasions. Hadwin was also seventh at the 2022 US Open

David Hearn

David Hearn has six years until he is eligible for the Champions tour and he generally struggles to make cuts either on the main Tour or the Korn Ferry these days. 

He has never claimed a PGA Tour title, but was second at both the 2013 John Deere Classic and the 2015 Greenbrier Classic. His best performance in a Major was the 21st place he earned at the US Open in 2013.

Mackenzie Hughes

Two-time PGA Tour winner Mackenzie Hughes has had a difficult 2023 after he claimed the second of those triumphs at the Sanderson Farms, when he beat Austria’s Sepp Straka in a playoff. 

He was also runner-up at the Honda Classic in 2020 and the RSM Classic in 2021, and he performed well in 2021 to finish tied sixth at The Open at Royal St Georges.

Taylor Pendrith

Taylor Pendrith claimed his place on the PGA Tour in 2021 after finishing runner-up in four Korn Ferry tournaments that season. 

He had his best finish when he was tied for second behind Tony Finau at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2022. He was selected for the International team at the Presidents Cup that year, but lost all four of his matches.

Adam Svensson

Adam Svensson won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour at the end of the 2021 season, one of three successes on that tour. 

He then won the RSM Classic in 2022 when he beat Brian Harman, Callum Tarren and Sahith Theegala by two shots, while he has claimed five other top-10 finishes before August 2023.

Nick Taylor

Nick Taylor made history in 2023 by becoming the first home player since 1954 to win the Canadian Open, which was his third success on the PGA Tour. 

His first success at the Sanderson Farms Championship came in his opening season. He moved into the world’s top 50 in 2023 and was second behind world number one Scottie Scheffler at the Phoenix Open in February 2023.
