Champions League - Football: 3/1 for all-Premier League final

On the eve of the 2022/23 Champions League, bet365 have priced up an all-Premier League final at 3/1.

English clubs have dominated the competition in recent years, with all-English finals in 2021 and 2019, as well as two more finalists in 2018 and 2022, and another semi-finalist in Manchester City last season.

Of course, the draw will have a big part to play, but all four English representatives are odds-on to top their group, with Tottenham the biggest price at 1/2. To have all four English teams in the last 16 is as short as 4/9.

Should that play out as the odds suggest, they will hope for favourable draws against the group runners-up for a place in the quarter-finals.

If you think someone will fall at the first hurdle, three teams to reach the last 16 is 2/1, and two teams is 14/1.

There is no question that the Premier League has the best chance of a winner, with four realistic chances; Chelsea are the biggest price of the English clubs at 20/1, and we saw just two seasons ago Thomas Tuchel’s men beat City in the final.

England are priced at 5/6 in the Nationality of Winner market; Spain are second favourites at 9/2, with three hopes in Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, with Sevilla 250/1 underdogs; and France are 5/1 with PSG flying the flag.

Despite their five representatives, Germany are 11/2, though it’s unlikely we’ll see Borussia Dortmund (50/1), RB Leipzig (100/1), Bayer Leverkusen (200/1) or Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt (250/1) in Istanbul next June.

bet365 will also offer a number of specials throughout each matchday of the group stage, such as the Highest Scoring Team or the Total Goals scored on a given day.

At some point during the group stage, we will likely see one of the big hitters face one of the competition’s whipping boys, such as when Barcelona host Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday, but Tuesday’s fixtures look more evenly matched; while there are plenty of odds-on favourites, RB Leipzig are the shortest price (1/4) at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

Domenico Tedesco’s side are favourites in the Highest Scoring Team market at 4/1, with Benfica (at home to Maccabi Haifa) 9/2 second favourites. Manchester City, who can often be trusted to put a few past their opponents, as we saw when they hit six, five and four against RB Leipzig and Club Brugge last season, can be backed at 7/1 away to Sevilla.
